Cricket Milestones Reached on 10 September

Virat Kohli brought up 13000 ODI runs against Pakistan in 2023, a landmark reached deep into an already substantial career. On the same day and in the same fixture, Kannaur Rahul reached 2000 ODI runs, a much earlier staging post. Younis Khan brought up 7000 Test runs against Zimbabwe in 2013, while Daryl Mitchell's 1000 ODI runs against New Zealand in 2023 marked an early-career total. Colin de Grandhomme reached 500 T20I runs against Bangladesh in 2021, and Vikram Solanki reached 500 ODI runs against Zimbabwe in 2004, the same match in which he played his 25th ODI.

Moeen Ali reached 100 ODI wickets against New Zealand in 2023, a three-figure mark that few bowlers reach. Graeme Swann and Paul Collingwood both reached 50 ODI wickets against Pakistan, in 2010 and 2006 respectively, while Steve Harmison reached 25 ODI wickets against Zimbabwe in 2004. Brian Vitori took his first Test five-wicket haul against Pakistan in 2013, a rarer type of landmark than a straightforward wicket tally, marking a step up in his Test career.

Several players used 10 September to mark appearance totals rather than output. Peter Willey and Kamran Akmal, along with Naved-ul-Hasan, each reached their 50th ODI, in 2023 and 2006 respectively. Tilak Varma and William Jacks both played their 25th T20I in 2025, while Hamilton Masakadza reached his 25th Test in 2013. At the other end of the scale, Milton Shumba played his first ODI for Zimbabwe in 2021 and Morawakage Theekshana his first T20I for Sri Lanka the same year, both careers just beginning.
