CricStats is an independent fan project, not an official record. The statistics here
are compiled from public sources and processed automatically. They will sometimes be
wrong, out of date, or contradicted by the official scorecard. Do not use
this site for betting, fantasy cricket, trading or any other decision with money
attached.
1. No official affiliation
CricStats is built and run by cricket fans. It is not affiliated with, authorised by,
endorsed by or connected to the International Cricket Council, the BCCI, any national
cricket board, any franchise league, any team, any broadcaster or any player. No
content on this site should be read as an official statement from any of them.
Team names, competition names, crests and logos belong to their respective owners and
appear here only to identify the team or competition a page is about.
2. Where the data comes from
Match results, scorecards, career records and rankings are compiled from publicly
available cricket records and kept in our own database. Records are updated on a
schedule after matches complete rather than instantly, so there is normally a lag
between the end of play and the site catching up. Live in-play figures, where shown,
are indicative only.
Historical records — particularly for older matches, associate nations and women's
cricket — are less complete than modern international data, and different sources
genuinely disagree about some of them.
3. Accuracy and corrections
We put real effort into getting the numbers right, and we still cannot guarantee that
any figure on this site is accurate, complete or current. Scorecards are amended
after the fact, records are revised, and our own processing can introduce errors of
its own.
Everything here is provided for general information and interest, without warranty
of any kind, express or implied. Where our figures differ from the official
scorecard, the official scorecard is right and we are wrong.
4. Automated and AI-assisted content
Parts of this site — player insight cards, match summaries, milestone notes and some
written analysis — are generated or drafted with the help of automated tools,
including AI language models, working from our statistics database.
This content is produced to help readers find patterns in the numbers. It can be
wrong: it can misread context, overstate a trend, or state something confidently that
is not true. Treat it as commentary, not as fact, and check anything that matters
against the underlying scorecard.
5. No betting, fantasy or financial advice
Nothing on CricStats is advice — betting advice, fantasy team advice, investment
advice or otherwise. We do not predict results, we do not tip, and statistics about
what has happened say nothing reliable about what will.
If you choose to use anything here in connection with gambling or a fantasy
competition, you do so entirely at your own risk and we accept no responsibility for
the outcome. Gambling laws differ by jurisdiction and are your responsibility to
comply with.
6. External links
We link to other cricket sites, official sources, news outlets and our own sister
sites for T20 leagues. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for
their content or accuracy, and a link is not an endorsement.
7. Images and trademarks
Player photographs, team crests and league marks appearing on this site are used to
identify the person, team or competition a page is about, and remain the property of
their owners. If you hold rights in any image here and want it removed, email us —
we act on a plain request and do not require a formal notice. The full procedure is
in the DMCA Policy.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CricStats and its operator accept no
liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or reliance on, anything
published on this site — including losses arising from inaccurate statistics,
automated analysis, downtime or unavailability. Full terms are in the
Terms of Use.
9. Found an error?
Please tell us. Corrections from readers are the fastest way bad data gets fixed, and
we would much rather hear about it than not.
