Cricket Milestones Reached on 7 November

Elton Chigumbura brought up 4000 ODI runs for Zimbabwe against Bangladesh in 2015, a tally built steadily across a long white-ball career. Marcus Trescothick reached 2000 Test runs for England against Australia in 2002, a landmark arriving relatively early in his Test career. Ken Rutherford brought up 1000 Test runs for New Zealand against Zimbabwe in 1992, a slower climb to four figures. Hazratullah Zazai reached 500 T20I runs for Afghanistan against West Indies in 2019, a marker reached in the shortest format among these totals. Each milestone reflects a different pace of accumulation, from the rapid turnover of T20 cricket to the patient build of a Test career.

Glenn McGrath reached 400 Test wickets for Australia against England in 2002, one of the highest totals recorded on this date. Ashley Giles took his 50th Test wicket in the same match, a far earlier stage of a bowling career. Ish Sodhi reached 25 T20I wickets for New Zealand against India in 2017.
