England’s Eoin Morgan has expressed his concern over England’s tour to Bangladesh. Tour is in serious doubt after the terrorist attack in Dhaka on Friday night (July 1) that led to 20 people being killed by Islamist militants. England Cricket Board has already said that they will take advice from the appropriate authorities before giving the permission to the tour. England scheduled to play 3 ODIs and 2 Tests in that tour and from this 2 ODIs and 2 Test will be played in Dhaka so there is security concern for England. Morgan said that : “I think it is quite a big concern at the moment,” Morgan said on Monday (July 4). “We’ve always left the big decisions to the ECB. They write reports, send guys out to see if it’s safe, then come back to the players to see if they’re happy or unhappy. But certainly it’s a concern at the moment,” he added. When quizzed on whether the fixtures could be played at a  neutral venue, Morgan said the idea is feasible. “I think that could be feasible if that came to it,” Morgan said, “I think it [security] is quite a big concern at the moment. Meanwhile, BCB director Sheikh Sohail has admitted that Bangladesh won’t be able to do anything if the ECB decides to postpone the tour. “I agree that the situation of our country is now more critical than before,” the BCB director Sheikh Sohail said following the attack, for which Islamic State has claimed responsibility. “If England opts not to come, we won’t have anything to say. I hope England won’t take any such decision. “We have to wait and see what they have to say … we still have plenty of time on our hands, so let’s hope for the best.” This is not the first time a country has postponed their matches in Bangladesh due to security issues i. There were security concerns during this year’s U-19 World Cup too which was hosted by Bangladesh. While England took part in the tournament, Australia opted to withdraw their Under-19 team having postponed the senior side’s tour to the country the previous year. England’s tour of Bangladesh is scheduled to start on September 30.
