England Openers Alex Hales and Jason Roy Thrashes Sri Lankan by attacking their bowlers and they chased down the target of 255 with 15.5 overs to spare. Both openers try to fill out their runs which they missed out on first ODI and not iving any chance to their other team mates to do so and they drive their team to winning side by 10 wickets. They have also create a record of England ODI Opening stand off 255, previous height was 250 made by Andrew Strauss and Jonathan Trott against Bangladesh at the same ground in 2010. Hales with a career best 133 and Roy breathing easily on his shoulder with 112.   “The chase was absolutely remarkable,” said Morgan. “We were in control without being reckless. The two boys played brilliant cricket. “It didn’t do anything exceptional [when England bowled] but we starved them of runs banged it in on a length and used our bouncers and resulted in us taking wickets.” Hales brought up his 3rd ODI century with a four off Seekkuge Prasanna and Roy a more nervous as he neared to the second century of his career, Sri Lanka asking for hopeless lbw review sliding down leg when he had 99. “The bowlers kept them to a total that meant we didn’t feel under a huge amount of pressure when we went out there,” said Roy, “We just keep things simple and go out there and do best we can for the team. There is no rocket science there.” This was a second one-sided ODI at Edgbaston following the series opener 12 months ago against New Zealand which England won by 210 runs. After winning the toss and electing to have first use of the pitch, their 254 was never going enough with England’s openers showing it to be perhaps 125 below par. There was a period when Dinesh Chandimal and Mathews managed to string a 82-run partnership together for the fourth wicket - helped sri lanka to 159-3 in the 33rd over before Adil Rashid, the pick of England’s bowlers, removed the sri lankan skipper for the first of two wickets. Mathews’s outfit look to be getting to the end of a long tour, much of which they have spent rebounding from punch to ropes and back again. England batsman Jason Roy: "It was a lot of fun. We wanted to get off to a good start. The next thing you know, we're across the line. "It's a great buzz, there's a lot of love in there." England batsman Alex Hales: "We relish batting together. It's a very special day and one we'll remember for a long time. "Tuesday was a kick up the backside for the top order. It was one of those days where everything clicked for both of us." England captain Eoin Morgan: "It was a good wicket and to restrict Sri Lanka to 254 was a good effort. "Roy and Hales were phenomenal. They put on a clinic for everyone watching. It was a pleasure to be involved." Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews: "Jason and Alex batted brilliantly. They took on the bowlers. Getting 250 runs without losing a wicket was a fantastic achievement. We just need to forget about this as soon as possible."
